Tic-tac-toe is one of the earliest video games: in 1952 Alexander Douglas programmed it as OXO for the EDSAC computer at Cambridge, with moves entered on a telephone dial. This board needs no setup. One player is X and the other O, and players alternate turns placing their symbol in an empty square. The first to get three in a row wins, and a full grid with no winner is a tie. The Miroverse page suggests it for icebreakers and quick decisions in virtual meetings and workshops. Visuals from CNVS.
How to use it
- Duplicate the board to keep a clean version.
- Add your name, pick a side and start playing.
- Take turns dragging an X or an O onto the grid.
- The first player with three in a row, horizontal, vertical or diagonal, wins. Mark the winning row with the pen tool.
- Move the crown to the winner’s head. Click Undo or duplicate the board for a fresh game.
Free for your own sessions and client work. Keep the credit on the board. No resale, and no republishing it as your own template.
