The map is built from 656 sticky notes, colored by region, and the board asks one simple question: where is everyone joining from? Participants drag their avatar from the people panel to their location, so a simple check-in becomes a moment of connection. The template’s Miroverse page calls it an icebreaker, warm-up or opening activity for virtual and hybrid sessions. Only participants logged into a Miro account appear in the people panel. It suits facilitators and trainers who run virtual sessions. Visuals from the CNVS Visual Library.
How to use it
- Duplicate the board and share the link with your group.
- Ask everyone to drag their avatar from the people panel to their location on the map.
- Ask for a note: why that place, and what is the story behind it? Or add a follow-up such as what would you eat there first?
- Make it your own: where was your last vacation, where is your dream destination, where did you grow up, where would you move tomorrow if you could?
- Use the map as a conversation starter before the session.
Free for your own sessions and client work. Keep the credit on the board. No resale, and no republishing it as your own template.
