The Boss Baby: Family Business followed in 2021, and Marla Frazee wrote a picture-book follow-up, The Bossier Baby. The first Boss Baby film opened on 31 March 2017 and grossed $528 million worldwide. Marla Frazee had no formal part in the films, and the story grew far beyond her text. She wrote an afterword for The Art of the Boss Baby.
